Strategic alliance is the newest trend of international auto industry re-arrangement. The strategic alliance that Chinese auto enterprise sets up with domestic or foreign enterprises is very important for Chinese auto enterprise to raise competence and for Chinese auto industry to optimize structure. The research purpose of this paper is to provide theoretical instructions for Chinese auto enterprise to set up strategic alliance competition pattern.Using research method that theory research integrates with case analysis, the paper deeply studies theory and policy of strategic alliance of Chinese auto enterprise from three respects: the first is the economics research of strategic alliance of Chinese auto enterprise; the second is management research of strategic alliance of Chinese auto enterprise; the third is the responding industrial environment research of strategic alliance of Chinese auto enterprise. On the basis of explaining "what strategic alliance is" and "why enterprise sets up strategic alliance", the paper place the research focus on the problem of "how to do well with strategic alliance of Chinese auto enterprise". The paper is in six parts:The first chapter is introduction. It introduces the background of topic selection, analyzes the features of present research and the problems that need to study, point out research purpose, theory value and actual meaning of the paper, and clarify the main contents and the key problems.The second chapter deals with the basic theoretical research of the strategic alliance. At first, define the strategic alliance from its meaning and types. Then, focus on the mechanisms analysis and theory explaining of the strategic alliance. In the part of the mechanisms analysis, deal with the motive and competition advantage of the strategic alliance. In the section of theory explaining, analyze separately from four angles: transaction cost theory, game theory, core competence theory and value chain theory.The third chapter studies the strategic alliance's management mode of Chinese auto enterprise. At first, design the systematic management model. Then, study the course management and integration management of strategic alliance in detail. In the part of the course management, the paper deals with the premise, stage, partner selection, running rules designing, organization and control of strategic alliance. In the section of the integration management, the paper deals with the five aspects and four requirements of the integration management.The forth chapter deals with question analysis and strategy research of strategic alliance of Chinese auto enterprise. It makes a concrete analysis of the trend of the international strategic alliance, transition of competition mode, and the necessity of strategic alliance of Chinese auto enterprise, and then studies the current situation, question and strategy of the strategic alliance of Chinese auto enterprise.The fifth chapter deals with the relation of strategic alliance of Chinese auto enterprise with industrial environment. Put forward the idea that we should promote auto industry clusters in order to optimize industry environment of the strategic alliance and provide good environment condition for the strategic alliance of Chinese auto enterprise. On the basis of describing the mechanisms and competition advantage of auto industry clusters, study location selection and concrete promoting strategy of Chinese auto industry clusters.The six chapter deals with strategic alliance of Chrysler Company and its enlightenment for us. It makes a case analysis, introduces successful strategic alliance practice of Chrysler company and explains its enlightenment to the strategic alliance of Chinese auto enterprise.In the conclusion part, the paper summarizes the research results, explains theoretical research value and actual directive significance, and points out the shortcomings of the research and questions to be studied in the future.
