Problems concerning stress have generally become study subjects by many people in stress theory during recent years. Different individuals have different reactions to the same stress and their corresponding choosing of coping ways has direct impact on the stress prognosis. Among the influential elements of the coping ways choosing, personality characters, social support, coping strategies, controlling points and some other psychological intervening elements have attracted quiet some attention. The study, by choosing 1200 cadets from Air Force Radar Academy as the objects of study, using EPQ Personality Questionnaires , Social Support Evaluation Chart and Coping Ways Questionnaires as the measuring tools and conducting statistical analysis by means of SPSS 10.0 and LISREL8.3, discloses the interrelation among the military cadets personality tendency, social support and choices of coping ways and checks the hypothetical models by ways of SEM.The study results show that: (1) Personality tendency has a negative relationship with social support, that is to say, the level of extroverts' social support is lower than that of introverts. (2) Social support has a negative relationship with coping ways, that is to say, individuals with higher social support tend to chose immature coping ways while those with lower social support tend to chose mature ones. (3 ) Personality tendency has a positive relationship with coping ways, that is, extroverts tend to choose mature coping ways while introverts tend to chose immature ways.SEM examines the hypothetical models of the interrelation among personality tendency, social support and coping ways choosing. The results supports hypothesis of the third model: Personality tendency have influence on the choosing of mature and immature coping ways through subjective and objective social support levels. Extroverts tend to choose mature coping ways due to their less social support and introverts to choose immature ways due to their more social support.
