Job performance appraisal is the core of Human Resource Management. Focused on the simple history of job evaluation and performance appraisal in respect to the basic conception of Human Resource Management, this paper abstracts the theories of job evaluation and performance appraisal. Following these theories we form the new job performance appraisal system of the large state-owned steel and iron enterprise. At last we found the job performance appraisal wage system after analyzed the advantages and disadvantages of the wage system of our large state-owned steel and iron enterprise.Chapter 1 tells about the basic conceptions, which include job, job evaluation, performance, job performance appraisal and so on. As basic parts we also write the elements of the job evaluation and performance appraisal.Chapter 2 and Chapter 3 mainly review and describe the simple history which include early, classical, behavioral and contemporary job performance appraisal and the basic theories of job evaluation and performance appraisal for the western countries and the history of performance appraisal of our large state-owned steel and iron enterprise.Chapter 4 is the core part of the paper. Guided by basic theories of the chapter 3, we analyze the questions of job evaluation and performance appraisal of our large state-owned steel and iron enterprise . In the light of these questions, we give the job performance appraisal system .The system includes two main parts .One part is the skeleton of the job performance appraisal system . Another is the criteria of the system which include job evaluation criteria which include job skill tension condition duty and daily , monthly and yearly performance appraisal criteria.Chapter 5 is the finishing chapter of this paper . It simply analyses the defect of the wage system of the large state-owned steel and iron enterprise. Then according to the conclusion of job performance appraisal the job performance wage system is founded.
