Research On Development Of Agro-product Processing Science And Technology In Tianjin

Developing agro-products processing industry is the emphasis and the key to successfully restructuring the agricultural sectors, and it is also the critical step in implementing industrialized agricultural business. Tianjin, as an important port metropolis in northern China, should have a highly developed agro-product processing industry which is of necessity to elevating the added values for agro-products as well as to developing an export-oriented agriculture. Through analyzing on the features and the future of agro-product processing industry in Tianjin, the paper identifies the main problems and proposes a strategy for its development in future. The paper also conducts an in-depth study on the general situations and problems facing Tianjin agro-products science and technology, hence clarifying its development route. By elaborating the great implications for developing high-tech in agro-products processing industry, the key developing areas and mechanisms as well as development patterns are formulated. Based on the previous studies, a conceptual scheme for developing key high-tech projects in agro-products processing industry with a detailed suggestion of 24 specific industrialization projects are proposed. Finally, the countermeasures and suggestions for accelerating the high-tech and industrialization of agro-products processing industry in Tianjin are raised.
