The 21th century is the age of information. For the globe economic unification reving up and immense increase of information, all enterprises have been forced to choose the way of information management. ERP system, being used now in enterprises, has already become an important measure to remake enterprises' management medium and to realize enterprises' information management for promoting enterprises' core competition.By studing on from the natal background of ERP to the history of ERP project application and development in internal and external market, the author indicate that the key reason of lost on ERP project implementation in domestic enterprises is unscientific on project management, especially risk management. Risk controlling is vital to project quality. The author uses project management and risk management to study ERP system implementation, encluding manage process of project implementation, project evaluation, and quality control. Risk management is the most important part of this paper, the author proposes that Risk Chain Theory and Period Control Theory are used to analyze risk in ERP, PDCA method and Stoppage Tree to control risk during implementation. A case study taken on will make out the risk of ERP project management at length, and the author also give a feasible proposal.Both ERP companies and enterprises can refer this paper during ERP implementation.
