Performance management is one of important jobs in corporation management. Today, market is increasingly impetuosity, many coporation must track the route of intensivism development, which includes asking management for benefit , keeping excellent employees and cleaning out the incompetent so as to advance corporation performance and gain the power of corporation competition. For this, a suit of effective mechanism must be set up, which is feasible by actualizing performance management. Performance appraisal means is one of the most important factors among performance management. But performance appraisal means.is infrequently used in the corporations of our contry. So the study and practice about performance appraisal means is few. The study of this paper is provided with illumination to the practice and study of our corporation performance appraisal means.The paper studies the keystone of the design of performance appraisal means firstly, including the fuction and action of performance appraisal means, the lowest standard of performance appraisal means and the most elementary performance appraisal means. And it puts the direction thought and content of the design of performance appraisal means forward. Then it analysizes four facts that are refered by the design of performance appraisal means: (1)index system and scales of performance appraisal; (2)grading and deciding level means; (3)enactting appraisal cycle; (4)collecting appraisal information and enactting appraisaller. Amongest these, the second and third facts are discussed stressly by examples. At last, a real estate corparation is analysizes as a case.The means of this paper include Analytic Hierarchy Process and Blur Appraisal Process. And case analysis is used. Some idiographic practice measure are put forward by discussing relate basic theory and methodology and analyzing thoroughly relate problem.Analysize of this paper shows that the content includede by performance appraisal means is systemic itself and should be taken into account generally. Also it shows that the design of performance appraisal means should apply analytic stat. Process and should take the factors that influent performance appraisal means into accout. Only these, six standards of good performance appraisal means can be realized, these standards are job analysize based on science,creditability,effect,acceptability,supportting enterprise stratagem,clear appraisal content.
