As everyone knows, China is the biggest developing country. U.S.A. is thebiggest developed country. The relation between these two big countries influencesthe peace and stability of the world and the Asian-Pacific area greatly, Therefore theSino-US relation causes the special concern of the countries all over the world ,especially China and U.S.A. At the last U.S.A. general presidential election of the20th century, George' W'Bush has been pushed to the throne . After he appeared onthe stage, a series of major events have happened in the Sino-US relation that haveinfluenced the Sino-US relation seriously. Bush government taked the toughpolicies to China , announced that U.S.A and China are nof'strategic cooperativepartners "originally, buf'strategic rivals". After Sino-US relation going throughtwists, Bush government began to realize the importance of maintaining Sino-USrelations's stability and sound development. Bush claimed that China was not theenemy of U.S.A. in talking with President Jiang Zemin during attending APECShanghai summit, expressed willingness to establish " friend's " relation with China,and showed that would be devoted to developing constructive cooperation withChinaThe policies on China might not only display in several documents of thepolicies since Bush government was in power, but reflect in the concrete policies ofevery aspect. So, the author has explained Bush government's policies on Chinafrom a lot of respects, and has summarized their characteristics. The forming anddevelopment of its policies on China is a dynamic course, affected and limited bymany kinds of factors. This Thesis lays particular emphasis on influencial mainfactors - external factors (namely: international situation ,etc. ) and inside factors ( namely: natural situation , political , economical , and social cultural factors,etc. ) of policies on China to analyze and examine the policies on China, and prospects the U.S.A. policies on China and the development of Sino-US relation.The author puts forward her own suggestions on the sound development of the Sino-US relation.
