This thesis combination theories and practices of performance management at home and abroad for the past few years, and the writer take advantage of experience accumulated through years of human resources management section and engineering management undertook section in the building construction business , the writer conducts an in-depth study and analysis on performance management of building construction business at bid work .This practice-oriented paper is established within the framework of the case , with a focus on the combination of principles and practices of up-to-date performance management.This paper gives a brief introduction for LinHai building construction enterprise-this research object at the first part. Combining the history development progress and the current rigorous situation of domestic building construction enterprise ,emphasizing to analyze the present actuality of performance evaluation at its engineering management undertook section . The thesis is thus developed from realizing business' strategic target, implanting a kind of management that make people the centre, designing a reasonable salary assignment system the etc... pointing out it is necessary that management section is established scientific and reasonable performance evaluation measures within LinHai building construction business.In order to set up a scientific and efficient performance management system at engineering management section of LaiHai building construction business .The paper deliberates on the definition and characteristics of performance, performance evaluation and performance management. Systematic explanation is presented for the fundamental principles and methodologies , including definition of performance management, system architecture and general procedures. The point is made that, due to relations with other sectors of human resource management, 'performance management is the core of human resource management' .As guide by fundamental principles of performance management , the writer associates the general principles with the detailed characteristics of LinHai building construction business. A series of proper solution and program are put forward, it aimed at the problem ofperformance evaluation at engineering management section. It has certainly leading meaning to the building construction business and similar enterprises.
