Core Competence Evaluation

The enterprise core competence is the focus question researched in strategic management at the present time, and assessment of core competence is a difficult point and focal point of core competence research. It has some meaning for this thesis choosing assessment of core competence as content.Proceeding from existing core competence theory, combining a large number of document analysis and theory discussion and on the basis of summing up existing core competence theory and method, this thesis puts forward a new visual angle of core competence, that is to carry on evaluation of core competence first, then carry on discernment of core competence on this basis. This thesis is organized according to the assessment order, and describes evaluation of core competence and discernment of core competence sequentially. Evaluation of core competency is to go on a preliminary judging to enterprise's competence system according to a certain standard. It judges whether enterprises may possess core competence and make that as the basis of discerning further. Discernment of core competence is to recognize the concrete form of enterprises' core competence on the basis of judging that enterprises have core competence after evaluation of core competence. The new visual angle proposed in this thesis tries to solve the question that enterprises don't know whether they have core competence and where is core competency in the course of using core competency theory.
