Research On The Modern International Logistics And Its Development In China

Logistics industry, in China and around the world, has entered a stage of fast growth. It is in the world regarded as the "artery" and basic industry to a country's economic growth. Its development degree has become one of important ingredients of a country's modernization and comprehensive national power. It is compared as an " accelerator" to increase economy and "the third profit source". Under this rules, foreign logistics providers have entered China one after another. With 2/3 of the world top 10 retailers settled in China, and their purchase center established. They have great advantage in business and management, such as large amount of capital, regular operations, rich experience, high quality service and professional personnel. On the contrary, logistics in China started very late and has some inherent problems during the development. Therefore, China must spare no time to develop modern logistics so as to compete with foreign companies.In a fierce competition with overseas logistics service provider, China's logistics industry is encountering increasing pressures and opportunities. It is wise to make a timely overall strategic planning in this respect so as to facilitate a healthy development of logistics industry, and further to promote China's foreign trade and international business.This paper, based on authoritative information and latest data, firstly made a general analysis on international logistics, its latest development, and logistics in other developed countries. Then the paper made a focal point on China's logistics, its status and problems, and its development after WTO entry.
