The knowledge economy is based upon processing, distributing and executing knowledge and information. It is a new and dynamic economy driven by the knowledge related industries and is different from the agricultural and industrial economies. At the age of the knowledge economy, the science and technology progress plays a critical role in the development of the national economy. To advance technology needs to develop human resource which, being a special kind of economical resources of our nation, has its properties of not only quality, quantity, time and space but also physical nature. This age of knowledge economy calls for the special quality, structure and training of human resource. For nearly 50 years since the start of People's Republic of China, progress has been made in human resource development, but there are still a lot of problems, which might cause a series of crises that could seriously trouble or even jeopardize our social and economical development. In this passage, I, by analyzing the basic elements of the demand for human resource of this age, present the present situation of our national human resource, which is legged behind the requirement of the economical development and the difference in between, and make some suggestions as how to improve our human resource development at the background of the other countries' and region's experiences in human resource development.First Part This paper pleads the connotation and characteristic of knowledge by explicating the propels of knowledge economy's historical developing. In the mean time, this article expresses the characters and their important roles of human resources in knowledge economy.Third part In one hand, the thesis states three problems of human resources in our country. At first the large quantity of population is the main reason of the society contradiction. Secondly the low quality of human resources couldn't meetthe requirement of the society's structure. In the other hand, there is several contradiction in developing our nation's human resources. One is the conflict between "the ton essential changes and the need of enlarging the opportunity of job hunting. Two is the contrary between the lacking of the government's faineance and the want of increasing the funds of education. Next is that human resources may not ranged according to the demand of market institution. Fourthly, the distribution of human resources market is left behind.Fifth Part: This part gives us five suggestions about the exploitation of human resources. The first advice is that fully recognizing the significance of education and at the same time increasing the input to the education. The second one is creating the education model. The third one is developing career education with full energy. The fourth is issuing the connected policy on time to increase the reasonable float and disposition of human resources.
