This report is written under the research framework of the "Business Internationalization", a research project done by the National Center for Economic Research at Tsinghua University. The focus of this report is study how Media Industry may develop international business. For this purpose, three Case Studies of media firms are written. The underlining firms are PHOENIX SATELLITE TELEVISION HOLDINGS LTD, TOM GROUP LTD & TELEVISION BROADCASTS LTD. For the case studies particularly, individual field interviews were arranged for collecting information.This report are divided mainly into four parts: first of all the introduction of media internationalization and the introduction of the case studies; then is the three case studies of the media firm individually; follow by the media and TV market of China; and finally the thought of Chinese media internationalization and the analysis referring to the cases. The main body of this report is the case studies. The firms being studied are highly internationalized and very successful in capital and marketing strategies. Their experiences may provide good reference for media industry in China. In the case studies many aspects of the corporations were included: the establishment and development of the firm; the influence from the management; the importance of alliance; the characteristic of the corporate culture and products; the company strategy in building business platform and the relationship with China market. All these information are meant to provide reference and inspiration to media industry in China for the next step of business revolution.
