Abstract/Summary:
By now, the competition in Chinese telecom sector has come into being, and with China' s entry to the WTO, the market will be more open. In Sichuan, the "western development program" brings huge opportunities to the telecom industry in this region, but on the other hand, the opening up of the telecom market in the western region will incur severe challenges and competitions to this sector. Under this special background, the Core competitive ability of SCMCC is depending on its IT infstructure. So it' s necessary to research on the IT Strategy in SCMCCHoping to give some useful advice and references to Sichuan Mobile, the writer tries to find out the IT development strategies on the basis of the related management administration theories and his spot research and analysis.This article has been divided into five parts.In the first part, the article analyses the necessity to hold research on the IT development strategies. It makes brief introduction to the evolution of the strategic theories, value chain and core competition strength concepts and the SWOT analysis theory and measures.In the second part, the writer analyses the main opportunities and threats Sichuan Mobile faced with from four dimensions: the characteristics of the telecom products, the reform and opening up of the telecom market and the current competition profile, the current characteristics and situation of the telecom market in Sichuan.In the third part, the writer analyses the main opportunities andthreats Sichuan Mobile IT faced with concerning the network resources, financing, humanbeing resources, marketing and management.In the fourth part, based on the SWOT analysis, the article argues the IT development strategy and its objectives.In the fifth part, we gives the ways of develop IT Strategy.The article is based on the combination of theories and facts. To make feasible strategies, company should take full consideration of the government influence.
