The Sinicized Marxist Theory Of Urban-rural Relationships And Its Contemporary Practice

The urban-rural relationship is an extremely important relationship among the development of economic and society. How to correctly understand and deal with the urban-rural relationship is a major problem which has been concerning the over 60 years'history of Chinese socialist revolution, construction and reform. To research the Marxist theory of urban-rural relations and the sinicized theory result is not only has its own theoretical value,but also has an important practical significance on the urban–rural's economic and social development.Marxist urban-rural relation theory is very rich, mainly includings theory of urban and rural opposition,the status of agriculture as the foundation theory ,urban and rural fusion theory, urban and rural development theory.Under the process of Marxism historical sinicizing , its urban-rural relations theory combines with Chinese reality , formed China's urban-rural relations of Marxist theory. These theories mainly refer to Mao Zedong, Deng Xiaoping, Jiang Zemin and Hu Jintao as the representatives of the central leadership on the basic ideas of urban-rural relations and theoretical contributions: agriculture is the foundation of national economy theory,correctly handle the relationships among the agriculture, light and heavy industry,reform is the only way to narrow the urban-rural gap,the development of rural township enterprises is an important way of surplus labor,development of small towns is a major strategy,"Two Trends" important conclusion,the guidance of scientific concept of development; urban and rural economic development, to build a new socialist countryside.These theories constantly guide the development of Chinese urban-rural relations at different times. From "farmers make up workers to rural areas support cities" to"central economic construction and promote urban and rural reform", rural-city structure always adjusts constantly and fluctuatly, and then to "pay attention to 'Farmers' problems", to break the urban-rural dual structure, and finally to "building a socialist new countryside".Unbalanced development of urban and rural is still a major contradiction in Chinese modernization process, breaking the urban-rural dual structure, Coordinating urban and rural economic and social development, implementing the scientific concept of development are the necessary requirements to achieve balanced and sustainable economic and social development, to establish a rural–city long-term mechanism is an effective way and strategic choice in the new century and new stage.
