In 2010, "the Issue of the New Generation of Farmer-workers" was firstly mentioned in the first Document of Central Government, and "Adopting appropriate measures, efforts to resolve the issue of the New Generation of Farmer-workers" was indicated. Visiblely, the Party and the Country pay great attention on this group of the New Generation of Farmer-workers. China's massive rural-urban flow has lasted for more than 20 years, today, the farmer-workers'internal structure has greatly changed, the new-generation of Farmer-workers gradually become main force of them.This paper tries to summarize the characteristics of the new generation of farmer-workers,and analyse the necessity of their integrating the city. This paper also tries to point out the different trends and characteristics between the migrant workers and traditional migrant, namely living in cities by temporary flow toward settling down, a stronger will of integrating, and the new generation of Farmer-workers began differentiation.This article give a comprehensive description and analysis of the new generation of Fanner-workers in the economic, social and psychological aspects. The auther deems that in the progress of integration, there are three problems, such as "foundation loose", "the breadth narrow"and "depth lack".Combining the Segmented Assimilation Theory about integration of the immigrants, the author point out that the present integration of the new-generation of Farmer-workers in cities is lack of go-aheadism, many of them are passivly integrating to poverty culture. This article also wants to analyse the difficulty of integration in structural factors such as system and economic, and also non-structural factors such as quality.Finally, this paper dicuss the conceivable path of future integration in the government, community, media and new generation of Farmer-workers themselve.Solving the problem of the new generation of Farmer-workers, is not only accord with the demand of the urban development, but is also accord with the modernization and urbanization.
