Since Wang Chunguang, as a researcher, put forward the concept of " new generation migrant workers" for the first time in2001, new genneration migrant workers have attracted wide attention from academia, government and society. That the CPC central Committee, in particular, first proposed the first document on "resolving new-generation migrant workers through great efforts"makes the issue of new-generation migrant workers more prominent.Nowadays, new generation migrant workers have constituted as a major part of industrial workers in China, even so, they still don’t possess the special quality of industrial workers in modern society. On one hand, new genneration migrant workers look forward to becoming a member in the city, on the other hand, they encounter merciless separation of inexorable system obstacles. On one hand, the issue of urban integration of new generation migrant workers has been deeply concerned by academia and the public, on the other hand, different systems, such as household register system, urban and rural labor market system and social security system, are lacking in the force of reform.Urbanization of new genneration migrant workers is an inevitable stage in future development and a necessary product of industrialization and urbanization in China, and also a necessary choice of building a socialist harmonious society and maintaining social stability and the long-term stability of the country. According to the empirical study, this thesis, in the beginning, gives us an initial understanding of basic condition of new generation migrant workers such as income, educational level, professional skills and future expectations. Secondly, a systematic analysis has been conducted in terms of a series of inhibiting factors, which new generation migrant workers have encountered in the process of integrating into city. Lastly, this thesis deeply explores the strategies of accelerating the pace of new generation migrant workers and finally, achieving urbanization. On the whole, the social repellent factors, which new generation migrant workers have encountered in the process of integrating into city, are numurous and complicated, and can’t be solved overnight. We must, from the point of view of combining the development of urban and rural areas and building socialist harmonious society, understand and solve the related problems of new generation migrant workers, so as to pave the way for new generation migrant workers in the.process of integrating into city.
