Study On The Driving Forces Of Cultivated Land Conversion In Urban Fringe

During the fast course of urbanization and industrialization, the cultivated land in urban fringe is occupied because of the expanding of urban. With the Wanbolin district in Taiyuan city as the basic area of study, on the basis of former study for dynamic characters of the use conversion of the cultivated land in Wanbolin district, this dissertation study on the driving forces of the change of cultivated land, applying GIS techniques and econometrics method. As findings show that under the temptation of urbanization and industrialization, there has been an exquisite conversion of the cultivated land in Wanbolin district since 1990, while construction using and gardening is the main way of the cultivated land use transform, which occurred in the east plain of Taiyuan city. After definitude activity of human being the main driving force of the changes of cultivated land, through selecting statistic data about Taiyuan city, Wanbolin district and villages, counting on the degrees of dynamics and relative change rate of the cultivated land of every village in Wanbolin district, by applying the OLS analysis of econometrics model, there is a result about interior driving forces and exterior driving forces of the conversion of cultivated land. Through applying Fields Decomposition method and TOBIT model of econometrics, combining with dynamic characters of cultivated land in the urban fringe, the result show that there has been different contributing rates between interior driving forces and exterior driving forces. On a certain extent the study aim of this dissertation that decomposing the contributing rate of driving forces, considering interior and exterior driving forces of the conversion of cultivated land, has been achieved. As a result which should be beneficial to the cultivated land use conversion as cognition profoundly in such area. What's more there is a more important meaning for illustrating that the human activity is dominant driving forces for the cultivated land use conversion in the study area.
