The Research On Disaster And The Three Rural-related Problems

The problems of agriculture, rural areas and peasants, hereafter the three rural-related problems, aim at production increase in agriculture, income improvement of peasants and the economy development in rural areas. In China, these problems remain a significant one, being affected by a lot of factors including both natural and social ones. Among these factors, disasters seem to be a significant one, causing great economic loss to rural areas and restricting the economy growth. Based on the research on the rainstorm, torrential flood and debris flow disasters which broke out in Beibei district of Chongqing City, this paper presented careful research and analysis on the influence of disasters on the three rural-related problems. The paper is arranged as follows:Section 1 illustrates the background, concept, methodology and contribution of this research work.Section 2 contains a brief introduction to the area where the research was conducted, It sums up the geographical position and natural conditions.Section 3 presents the history of these disasters, describing the characteristic and the damage caused. The conditions causing these disasters are then analyzed.
