On The Trend Of Civil Service Reform In China

The article firstly theoretically introduced the bureaucracy and the post-bureaucracy, then analyzed the background in different points of view and pointed out the main measures of civil service reform in the west. On one hand, the result of civil service reform in the west profoundly changed civil service system's structure, operation and spirit idiosyncrasy, and fluctuated some main characters of traditional administration mode. On the other hand, there still were many disputations for people had not made consensus on many important theoretical questions. Afterward, the article analyzed the reform condition of Chinese civil service from politics, economy, culture and internationa] environment. Moreover, on the base of status quo of Chinese civil service and the global challenge, the article hence put forward the reform way of the administration in China: We should both suit, the remedy to the case and adapt to the requirement of the age, and make strategic adjustment. Finally, the article deeply discussed the transition of the civil service reform in China in the future.
