Since reform and opening-up, the telecommunication industry of China has been developed at full speed, its achievement having attracted people's attention in the world. The system reform of the Chinese telecommunication industry is being deepened constantly in recent years as well. Former post and telecommunications system implemented division between politics and enterprises, and telecommunications was divide into camp, paging, moving , and satellite after the separation out in former China Telecom business, after carrying on telecommunications and was recombined again, on May 16 , 2002, Chinese network communication group company and China Telecom were listed formally , the strategic reorganization reform of Chinese telecommunication industry for the past ten years came to an end at last, After ten years of strategic reunion of telecommunication industry, how should the traditional telecommunication enterprises which grew up under planned economy and natural monopoly environment for a long time choose the development strategy, and how to participate in the telecommunication market competition and cooperation with the brand-new posture, it is not merely primary task of China Netcom, but also one of the important subjects for research of the business administration field of telecommunications . The thesis, by introducing Game theory, the new theory of modern Competition and cooperation, analyzing the telecommunication industry constructure, elements affecting industry competition, competition and cooperation development trends for telecommunication Industry and opportunities and challenges facing Chinese telecommunication companies, utilizing the methods of G-PEST Pattern, SWOT Analysis and BCG matrix Analysis, is to study the interior and exterior environment of China Netcom and gives the view of products reunion. And the thesis emphasizes on making out the competition and cooperation strategy for China Netcom. To run the strategy perfectly, some measures, especially to implement the management and evaluation of this strategy are suggested. Some innovations are shown in the thesis. First is recommending the theory and the methods of Game theory into the study of competition and cooperation for China Netcom, including game players, additional values, game rules, game tactics and game range. The next is studying the interior and exterior environment of China Netcom and giving the view of products reunion systematically, and have set up G-PEST model, SWOT matrix, and BCG matrix.
