A Study Of Industrial Enterprise's Competitiveness In Jilin Province

Industry is the main strength of keeping economic growth in Jilin province,and the competitive ability of industrial enterprise will directly influence theeconomic comprehensive strength of Jilin province. Facing the fiercecompetition of the international and domestic market, if Jilin province wants togain the initiative power of development, it must keep sober and know itself.And it must adjust and optimize the structure of products constantly, constructthe efficient market environment, foster and promote the competitiveness ofindustrial enterprise constantly, and only in this way can we make the economicdevelopment of Jilin province enter a brand-new realm.The present paper intends to analyze the competitive situation of industryand corporation objectively and exactly, disclose the economic differencesamong Jilin province, the national average level and costal areas, expound thevery crux of the existing problems and come up with the strategies andsuggestion, hoping to offer the reference basis to the relevant departments, sothat they can further investigate the question of industrial enterprise of Jilinprovince and make relevant policies of promoting.The present paper consists of four parts, which are combined with eachother systematically and form an organic whole.In part one, I analyze the intension of enterprise's competitiveness andenterprise's key competitiveness, unify the concepts and analyze the main factorsthat influence enterprise's competitiveness. I put forward my own opinion on thebasis of explaining the different definitions of domestic and internationalenterprises'competitiveness and enterprises'key competitiveness. Enterprise'scompetitiveness shows that in the open market economy an enterprise offers theproducts and service to consumers more effectively than other enterprise. And itcan realize the maximal profits while making the consumers satisfied, form thelong-term positive cycle of production and selling and strengthen the abilityconstantly in the competition. In other words, an enterprise can keep theproduction and selling and take on the good achievement constantly by offeringlower price and better quality so that it can survive and develop further. The keycompetitiveness of enterprise is accumulated with time and can't be imitated.And it is the ability of innovation which multiplies the profits quickly, includingresearching and exploring, technological innovation, system design, managementtheory, brand figuring and so on. Its carrier is knowledge, information andsystem. Its expression form is patent, intangible assets, etc. The better the patent,brand, intangible assets value of enterprises are, the stronger its key competitivepower is. At present, there are a lot of appellations of enterprise'scompetitiveness, but I maintain that we should unify "enterprise's internationalcompetitiveness", "enterprise's key ability"and "enterprise's keycompetitiveness"with the concept of "enterprise's competitiveness", or regard"enterprise's key ability"and "enterprise's international competitiveness"as acomponent of "enterprise's competitiveness"in order to eliminate the conceptbattle.In part two, I appraise the current situation of the competitiveness ofindustrial enterprise of Jilin province. First of all, regarding economic benefitsindex as the breakthrough point, I introduce 12 items of concrete economicindicators enterprise's operational competitiveness, enterprise's marketingcompetitiveness and innovative ability, which reveal that although the enterpriseof Jilin province possess stronger advantages in operational competitiveness,they are in inferior position in enterprise's marketing competitiveness andenterprise's innovative competitiveness in comparison with the national averagelevel and coastal advanced provinces. I draw the conclusion that the industrialenterprise of Jilin province lacks competitiveness as a whole through overallappraisal. Second, after I analyze the competitiveness of Jilin enterprises fromthe angle of products sold to other provinces and foreign countries, I draw theconclusion that Jilin's enterprises possess certain comparison and competitiveadvantages in large-scale industrial enterprise and traditional pillar trade, but theexisting problems are that industrial quality is obviously on the low side, theproducts are integrated in poor degree, the high-tech industry is in small scale, itsproportion is low, so it is difficult to compete with coastal advanced provinces.In part three, I analyze the lack of competitiveness of the industrialenterprise of Jilin province and put forward that the main reasons of lackingcompetitiveness, which are the extensive mode of production with poor benefitsand high consumption, the medium and small-scale industrial enterprise laggingbehind, industrial level low, innovative talent extreme shortage, enterpriseresearch and development ability weak, leading brand products few, generalproducts many and the specialization level of enterprise low, etc.In part four, I put forward the strategies and suggestion on how to promotethe competitiveness of industrial enterprise of Jilin province. I point out that thedecisive factor of the industrialized construction and economic restructuring ofJilin province is to promote the whole quality and competitiveness of industrialenterprise. Facing the new economic situation, Jilin province industry shouldplay the existing comparison and competitive advantages to the maximal extent,and it should make great efforts to turn the inferior position into the superior andin the course of increasing the innovative advantages. Only in this way can wefoster and promote the competitiveness of industrial enterprise of Jilin province.I propose the following suggestion: speed up the change the governmentalfunctions; strengthen the vigor of the system and mechanism; adjust and perfectthe structure of system of ownership; accelerate the reform pace of thestate-owned enterprises; improve the market-based degree in a morecost-effective manner; dispose the resources of enterprises to the direction whichfosters enterprise's key ability; optimize the structure of products and promote...
