Evaluation On The Urban Life Quality In Zhejiang Province

Since the development of a society is started from the people's living condition and development and the degree of their satisfactory to the realization of these two aspects, to improve people's life quality has become the ultimate goal and the highest principle for the development of a society. When the existence is realized, the society will divert its development to how to enhance people' s life quality and promote the people' s development comprehensively. The fact that 16th Party Congress has aimed to work hard for building a well-off society in an all-round way means to march from a lower-leveled and defective and collective well-off society towards an all-round well-off society. It is required that we should not reflect people' s life just from income and consumption but from a view of life quality to reflect residents' satisfaction degree from comprehensive demands, which include not only material living but also culture and education, housing, environment, welfare, social insurance, medical treatment condition, and health, as well as residents' subjective satisfactory and happiness to all the aspects mentioned above. As a result, it is urgently needed by public administration to set up a series of scientific system of life quality evaluation to supervise urban residents' life quality and help the government officers, social development administrators and the public as well understand the condition of social development.The article basing on the research of life quality theory has explored to build an evaluating indicators system to comprehensively reflect urban residents' life quality. The urban residents' life quality in Zhejiang Province has been evaluated by the system. According to the sampling investigation of life quality conditions of 1, 100 urban families in 11 districts and cities in Zhejiang Province, a further research has been conducted by using the system to evaluate the life quality between cities.
