The Study Of The Ideology And Morality Of Rural Youth In The New Era

Under the policy of "governing the country by morality" brought up by Jiang Zemin and in the background of enhancing moral standards of citizens, large numbers of young people from the countryside are the key components of Chinese people, and also vital forces of realizing agricultural and even the whole country's modernization. Currently, we are constructing new socialistic countryside; it's of great significance to study how to enhance the ideology and morality of the rural youth in the new era. This article first demonstrates the necessity and importance of enhancing moral standards and ideology of the rural youth nowadays from a particular perspective of values including individual and social value. Secondly, it briefly analyzes some major inadequateness of ideology and morality presently existing in the rural youth, which incorporates the two parts of daily lives and public lives. Finally, it proposes some strategies to improve the situation mainly from four aspects of establishing the guiding ideology, creating the atmosphere of discussing, highlighting key content areas, and constructing validate systems.
