Disserting "Three Direct Links" Problem Of Cross-straits Relation

Cross-straits "Three Direct Links" problem is an extremely important problem inthe cross-strait relation, which has been the focus that cross-straits people pay attention to together. Studying cross-straits "Three Direct Links" problem has the important theories and realistic meaning to the cross-strait relation development. This thesis mainly deals with the cause, development and present condition of "Three Direct Links" Across the Taiwan strait problem from the history angle. Combining the historical facts ,I analyzed, from the theories angle, the influence factor and the future tendency about "Three Direct Links" Across the Taiwan strait problem. The whole thesis is constituted by the introduction, text, and conclusion. The text has four parts totally.The first part disserts the cause of "Three Direct Link" problem Across the Taiwan Straits. In 1949 the Kuomintang launched civil war, which had to retreat to Taiwan after being defeated. Owing to the support to the Kuomintang of the foreign interference, in the 1950's, the cross-straits formed opposite situation. Direct links in mail, transport and trade between the two sides of the Taiwan Straits were totally suspended. In the 1970's, the great change occurred at home and abroad, so Mainland changed its reunification policy, which substituted "peaceful reunification" for "liberation Taiwan". For eliminating both parties' hostility, which was caused by the isolation between over a long period, to create a condition for the peaceful reunification, January 1st in 1979, the mainland put forward the way of "Three Direct Links" Across Taiwan Strait. In 1981, "Three Direct Links" had the contents of the integrity about his concept. The second part mainly discusses Mainland's policy, measure and progress about "Three Direct Links" since 1979, and I analyze the characteristics of the Mainland's policy. The third part mainly investigated the Taiwan authorities' policy and measure since 1979 about "Three Direct Links", which I analyze and evaluate at the same time. The forth part mainly analyzes influence factors of "Three Direct Links" across Taiwan Strait theoretically, Predicts its future tendency, and give my advice about how to realize direct, two-way and complete "three links". At the end of my thesis, I make a conclusion through my researching.
