Great changes have taken place in international security situation since the end of Cold War, which demands that every country in the world adjust its security strategy to the new environment. To cope with these changes and challenges, Chinese government brings up her new conception of national security, which is completely different from the traditional one.The core of this new national security conception is mutual trust,mutual benefit,equality and cooperation. By measures of building mutual trust,carrying out cooperation and equal consultation, Chinese government is practicing and spreading her new conception of national security in southeast Asia step by step, which makes this conception accepted by international society and its neighbor countries increasingly. This effort not only afford a stable international environment and surrounding environment for China's modernization, but also do great contribution to the subject construction of China's international relations.Of course, the practice of China's new conception of national security is not always smoothly, it will meet challenges from traditional security conception and resistances from other big powers. Chinese government must deal with these challenges and resistances properly.In a word, to practice a completely new kind of diplomatic policy in such a complex region like southeast Asia, we need boldness and wisdom.
