| The population migration is one of these three kinds of basic population change of demography. It refers to the move of population within the geography spatial position, which brings forth various influence on both transfer-out and transfer-in sides in such aspects like politics, economy, culture and so on. Therefore, the migration and flow of population continuously receives various widespread attentions worldwide. And the continuous expanding of regional economic differences after the economic restructuring has been the primary factor of the unprecedented activation of our domestic population migration. The active increasing of population migration also has put a profound influence to the development of economic society and the changing of regional differences. At the same time, as the scale and intensity of population migration has been larger and larger, total quantity of regional population scale and spatial distribution pattern have changed to a great degree. This paper has combined population migration and regional economy, and focused on analyzing the situation of population migration in Huludao City through the contrast between the theoretical and actual population within six coastal cities of Liaoning Province and various counties surrounding Huludao region. This paper can be divided into five parts. The first part is the situation of domestic and foreign research and theory. It has mainly analyzed overseas and domestic researches about the population migration, as well as those involved basic theory to which this paper referred. The second part is the mechanism evolution of population migration within Liaoning coastal area. After narrating the influence from the household register control system and the labor market system in the systematical policy on population migration in coastal areas, as well as how the economical development affects the population migration, the paper induces what types of population migration strategy the coastal area should adopt. The third part analyzes the factors and main reason for the population migration of Liaoning coastal areas. Through the analysis of natural environmental, it has summarized the major reason and consequent influence for the population migration within coastal areas. The fourth part has analyzed the situation of the population migration of Liaoning coastal areas. After summarizing the situation of total population growth and population migration within Liaoning coastal areas, it emphatically has analyzed the theoretical population, potential population migration and migration tendency in Huludao City. The last part brings forth some suggestions for population migration in Liaoning coastal areas. It emphasized that Liaoning coastal areas, especially Huludao City, should fully consider the economic factors, the sustainable development and the local reality in advance when under the formulation of policies related to population migration. Therefore, this paper has a certain academic value, and also may provide certain support for the government. And the author hopes that this paper will offer a certain significant instruction to the future development of Huludao City.
