Analysis On The Phenomenon Of Migrant Workers In China's Social Transformation

In this paper, the scope of the study is about the phenomenon of migrant farmers in the current social transition period of China. It is an inevitable historical phenomenon in the course of the transition of the traditional agricultural society to a modern industrial society. In China, a large number of rural surplus labor force from rural areas swarmed into the city, engaged in a wide variety of non-agricultural employment. It supplied rich labor resources for the production and development. The migrant farmers have also created an immeasurable contribution for the social and economic development. The migrant farmers who work as a special group has its own special identity and shoulder a special mission. The emergence and existence of this phenomenon have brought tremendous impact on the social life. All the contradictions were exposed completely in the social transition period of China. This aroused the community's concern and the professional academic research. As a product of a particular stage of history, they are the complexed form of various contradictions in the course of social transition of China. They meet with full of hope and full of challenges. It is the objective requirements of combining the theory and practice by taking a correct understanding and scientific treatment toward the large group of migrant workers with the developing perspective, but also one of the urgent problems in the course of building a harmonious society with the concept of scientific development.Followed by the theory of globalization , social division of labor, social dual structure, especially the social strata structural theory, this paper showed the possibility and necessity for the special phenomenon of the emergency of migrant workers in the process of the social transformation of China from the perspective of historical materialism, Combined with the principle of people'unique subjective activity, the spiritual character of defying difficulties, continuously challenging ,liberating, and developing themselves were highted by their actual action which demonstrate the unique charm of Chinese farmers. As a community of social people and a carrier of culture, the rural migrant workers are experiencing the great impact of the traditional and modern urban culture. It is a natural link between the two cultures. This paper reveals the progress and certain deficiencies of the migrant farmers who work as a kind of intermediate form by using the theory of the free and comprehensive development. The individual development were integrated into the overall development of society as a whole. Thus the individuals as a community which has a new identity may eventually achieve their own development and integrate into the development of society. The migrant farmers and their groups in transitional period which were caused by a series of social problems are given all-round and multiple-level analysis by analytical methods of contradictions running through the full text. Thus not only recognized the advanced side of things, but also the negative side of this transitional period.The theory is integrated with the practice. We should recognize that the migrant farmers as a community in the transitional period is a specific, historical social phenomenon. In order to help us deal with the social reality of the conflicts and construct a harmonious society by the concept of scientific development, much more concern, scientific predictions and rational treatments should be given to their unique cultural characterstics , future directions and the contradictions of this stage.
