Prison police officers also face stress and challenges. Young prison police officers’ job satisfaction will be influenced by the job characteristics like isolated environment and monotonous content which brings a high rate of turnover. A large scale of turnover of young police officers not only brings a bad influence to the development of prison but also the young people who is in the career growth phase. Turnover is also an obstacle on their career development. Therefore it has a significant meaning to deeply explore the present situation of job stress, job satisfaction and turnover intention and effective ways to ease the status.The research is on the case of 176 Shanghai prison police officer to discuss the relationship between job stress, job satisfaction and turnover intention and to test mediation of job satisfaction. The general framework is as follows:The research is problem-oriented by the phenomenon of high turnover rate of young prison police officer in Shanghai and based on a lot of literature and the theory of job stress, job satisfaction and turnover intention. It suggests the model contracture of this research according to the actual situation. An empirical research is conducted by the method of survey and SPSS 19.0 is used to analysis the data.The main conclusions of this study are as follows:1. Job stress and turnover intention level of Shanghai young prison police officers is higher and job satisfaction level is lower as a whole.2. The difference is not notable among there dimension levels of Shanghai young prison police officers in gender, education and years of service.3. It’s a notable positive correlation between job stress and turnover intention of Shanghai young prison police officers. It’s a notable negative correlation between job satisfaction and turnover intention of Shanghai young prison police officers. It’s a notable negative correlation between job stress and job satisfaction of Shanghai young prison police officers.4. Job satisfaction plays a partial intermediary role between job stress and turnover intention of Shanghai young prison police officers.5.
