Interest Expression And Collective Action Of The Farmers

According to the statistics, it is a good news that we have achieved the number of four decreasion, such as: the volume of the total inquiry,the volume of the group appeals,the volume of the non-normal inquiry and the volume of the mass incidents , in the last two years. But we can not be blindly optimistic and sit back and relax. In fact, while the volume of the total inquiry declining, the emergence of new social contradictions of the police, the characteristics of the inquiry actions is new, it is more difficult to deal with.This thesis adopted the way to tell a story, research and analysis the group appeals of farmers, which I involved personally, in 2003. As I have personally participated in this petition, I have a visual impression of the incident, so I formed this story as memories, more to description the behaviour of the various actors. I believe that observing, analysising and studying participants real action compared to listen to their better understanding of the language interpretations of the nature of the incident, because action always more real than the language. In the course of telling the story ,I interleaved some "summary" to commentate the story. By understanding this whole process of the petitions can be found, the visible thesis of "the interests of expression" and "collective action" can not be a good theory to explain this group appeals of farmers. for most of the villagers which participate in the higher authorities, their interest was not damaged as a result of the road by the Government, but they still have a certain interest demands, their participation of the Collective action was not initiative, it is to vent their emotions in a greater extent, I reduce it to a type of "conflict of semi-direct interest". The cause of such conflicts are complex. In this paper, the cause of the new type of conflict and the operational mechanism of the new type collective action are analyzed. in the end, I concluded the model of the group appeals of farmers: Petition elite (Petition collective leadership) + Radical forces (Mainly Muslim villagers) + Semi-direct stakeholders(Mainly Han villagers)...
