| Based on the present situation on the farmers' legal consciousness, we can see that the country's legal issues are due to a series of complex historical and social economic factors, including the traditional ethics and the psychological aspects, and there are also sorts of subjective and objective factors. However, with the economic development and the unceasing opening of remote districts rural, the farmers' legal consciousness has been improved a lot. They are gradually understanding and accepting the law and the thought of being ruled by law. So in this article, the author takes Shi Cang, Xianyou, Putian, Fujian Province as an example to analyze the situation of the farmers' legal consciousness. By entering the village personally and interviewing the farmers, the author analyzes farmer's legal knowledge, their legal appraisal and legal request. After that, he promulgates the predicament of the disjunction between economy and law, the crack between the nation's law and the folk custom, the conflict between being ruled by law and by people, the superficial separation and substantive union between judicature and administration, the short of publicity and the surface form of disseminating knowledge of the law. Finally the author makes a thorough analysis and explanation to the present situation of the farmers' legal consciousness and raises some corresponding countermeasures to the defectiveness of the countryside legislation, law enforcement and the dissemination of knowledge of the law.
