Chinese Public Diplomacy

With the deepening of globalization and the development of information technology, an important change in the international affairs, is the function of the traditional subject fades, and non-state actors (the public) increased. therefore more and more country start to use the mass media and communication skills to support the achievement of the diplomatic objectives and make up the shortcoming of traditional diplomatic mode.As a rising power China should pay more attention to its image and avoid being considered as an enemy by the other countries and their public.Therefore, the best choice is to carry out public diplomacy. China should keep in with other countries, in order to shape an image of a responsible country, as well as create a favorable international environment.This paper mainly deal with the theory of public diplomacy, Chinese practice of public diplomacy and some pertinent advises.
