Analyze The Public Diplomacy Of China Towards America

Nowadays, international communication is rising rapidly and interdependent is up to an unprecedented level. With expanding international exchanges, people of the world have improved their great attention to international affairs and have more interesting to participate and learn international politics. Moreover, people have made greater and greater influence on the foreign policy making of their countries. Meanwhile, the governments carry out the foreign policy; they will consider public opinion seriously. Therefore the countries are coming to realize the importance of setting country image gradually. With its increasing influence around the world, China shares extensive common interests with the super power the United States. However, for some cultural, political and historical reasons, there are many disagreements between the two countries, which lead to great misunderstandings and bias among American people to China. As a result, China needs to start public diplomacy towards the United States and gain the support of American public. This can contribute to American foreign policy which is favorable to China and therefore guarantee China's national interests.
