Objective To investigate psychological stress of latter settled migrants and migrants moving to other counties which are from Three Gorges Reservoir of ChongQing, explore the difference in psychological stress between migrants and residents, also find factors influencing these differences and provide scientific evidence for improving mental status in migrants.Method The cluster randomized sampling method was used to select research objects which were entered in this study. Objects were interviewed with standard questionnaires, such as Residents General Status Table, Psychological Social Stress Survey for Groups(PSSG). These original data were input Epidata 3.02 recording-system, and analyzed statistically by SAS 9.1.3 statistical analysis software.Results 1 .The score of life events(L), negative emotion(NE),negative coping style(NC) and total stress-score were higher in latter settled migrants than that of in local residents(P<0.01); The score of living event(L), negative emotion(NE),negative coping style(NC) and total stress-score were higher in migrants moving outside than that of in local residents(P<0.01), but the score of positive emotion(PE) and positive coping style(PC) were lower than that of control group; the score of L,NE and total stress-score in migrants moving outside were higher than that of in latter settled migrants(P<0.01); 2. (1)Taking gender, age, marriage, education background, occupation, family income and character as layered variables, original data was analyzed among three comparison groups respectively. The total psychological stress-score of female, young people, laid-off workers or joblessness, poor education background and little family income were higher in latter settled migrants than that of in control group; the psychological stress of migrants moving outside enduring in generally was more than that of residents; The total psychological stress-score of male, middle-age and old man, poor education background and little family income were higher in migrants moving outside than that of in latter settled migrants; (2) The multiple linearity regression model was making with total stress-score and dimensionality-score as dependent variable and 7 layered factor as independent variables, it revealed that factors influencing psychological stress included gender, age, occupation, family income and character; also different independent variables were entered regression model in different dimensionality.Conclusion In generally, migrants settled-latter and moving outside endured more psychosocial stress, and stress in some dimensionality of migrants moving outside was higher than that of in latter settled migrants. It suggests that related government department should focus attention on female, poor education background, laid-off workers or joblessness and little family income crowd in migrants, because they received more stress and depression, also should provide effective measures to improve their stress-emotion, such as comprehensive social support, scientific counseling psychology and so on. Finally these activities will change mental stress status in migrants and promote achieving the aim of Three Gorges Reservoir migration issue.
