The Research On Comprehensive Quality Evaluation Of The Sergeants In Communication Troops Based On PCA

With the deepening of the military reform and the continuous improvement of the level of the Army's informatization, the communication troops will play a more and more important role in Information War. The sergeants, as an important component of the battle effectiveness of the communication troops and the backbone of the soldiers, their ability and quality will exert important influence on the modernization construction of the army, so establishing a scientific, reasonable and useful quality evaluation system for the sergeants' comprehensive quality using the evaluation theory and technology has become the important research subject on the modernization construction of the Army.The principal component analytical method (PCA) is a statistical method, in which several fewer targets are selected according to the actual need from the new group of overall targets reconstructed from the original targets to reflect the original information content as far as possible. In practical applications, the method has many unique merits that other methods do not possess.This paper evaluates the comprehensive qualities of the sergeants using PCA method. Firstly, this paper analyzes of the actuality of the present sergeants' comprehensive quality evaluation and the evaluation index constitution. According to the requirements for comprehensive quality of the sergeants of the modernization construction of the Army, the evaluation index system for the sergeants' comprehensive quality of the communication troops is established using questionnaire methods, factor analysis method. Secondly, the paper establishes the different quality index that suitable for the different method of the quality assessment according to the application scope and emphasis point of the different method of the quality assessment. Finally, the scientific nature and applicability of the measurement index system for the sergeants' comprehensive quality is proved through a case study of the sergeants of the communication troops that based on the comprehensive quality evaluation system. PCA has overcome defects of the previous evaluation methods and make a thorough and scientific evaluation of the sergeants' comprehensive quality.In this paper the methods of index screening and optimization is further perfected based on the traditional method, the index system that was established by using this method, which structure and index factor is more reasonable. And evaluated the same index by different methods is better than evaluated all the indexes by one method. The idea in the paper is a development in the sergeants' quality field and offers some new methods to solve the problem of the comprehensive quality evaluation of the sergeants.
