Facing China across the sea, South Korea is the East Asian economic power, and its geo-strategic position is very important, therefore it has an important impact on making China's domestic and foreign policy. Since the Cold War, China-South Korea relations have also undergone tremendous changes because of the complicated and changing international situation. After the Cold War, China and South Korea established diplomatic relations, and then the two formed a closer strategic partnership, and carried out extensive exchanges and cooperation in economy, politics, culture, sports and many other fields. The continuous developed bilateral relations played a positive role in promoting their economic construction and national security. While some frictions between China and South Korea still exist currently, but the development of friendly relations is an irresistible historical trend.In this thesis, taking the contemporary development of China-South Korea relations as the research object and applying the international relations theory and methods, it has a comprehensive exposition for the rapid development of China-South Korea relations in the 1990s, analyzes its deep-rooted causes of the development, and forecasts the China-South Korea relations in the future.
