The reason for choosing the Netherlands to be studied with its integration of immigrates is because of its special character. The Netherlands culture is known as an open-minded, multiculturalism, and absorbed people around world who want to migrant. What's the attitude to immigration from the Netherlands? The situation is:From the very beginning, multiculturalism is the goal of integration. They want to produce a institution with immigration participation in politic, economy, education etc. However, as it's developing, the orientation of the policy changed. What happened between these periods? Which factors was included and made influence? We will try to find the answers.The Dutch has a tradition of multiculturalism.From the latter half of the 19th century to the mid-20th century, the Dutch modern nation-state is framed as "pillars" of Dutch society. The social and political structure of pillars shows how the various cultures co-exist. After 1960s, "pillars" of gradually overshadowed by the pace of secularization, but the legacy of remains shaped the 20th century Dutch-immigrant integration policy.at a large extent. Immigrants are treated as a whole group.The Netherlands made the economic efforts to promote their employment rate, while retaining their culture and identity. But the economic crisis, poverty and lack of education make immigrants in a weak position of the larbor market. And effects of the Dutch employment promotion policy are extremely limited. At the same time, maintain social and cultural identity and independence of the policy made them even more isolated from mainstream society in the Netherlands. Immigrant groups, especially Muslims in Dutch society have increasingly become the "problem" group and triggered a series of violent incidents. The old policy of multiculturalism had been abandoned.The new policy began to request immigrants accepting Dutch culture, learning the Dutch language, take the initiative to assume responsibility for integration into Dutch society. The Dutch policy of integration of immigrants took to the road of assimilation.
