With the rapid development of Chinese economy, the desire for the talent of Chinese society is getting increasingly stronger. The tendency of higher education universal has become inevitable, higher education will be the direct promotion of basic issues of social progress. At the same time, the magnificent target of enhancing the quality of higher education and building a first-class research university has also been proposed and intensified implementation. As the participants of building higher-level University, the work attitude and the ability of Administrative Staff directly affect the pace of college construction. The job satisfaction and engagement of University administration staff reflect their working state. There is a strong practical significance whether enhancing job satisfaction can motivate their engagement. Based on the background of Chinese higher education reality, using quantitative analysis, the paper discusses the correlation of the job satisfaction and engagement.This paper deveplops job satisfaction scale through literature revies.By questionnaire survey for university administrator staff in Dalian, Shenyang and Beijing and the statistics analysis of valid questionnaires, the paper explored the relationships between job satisfaction and engagement of university administrator staff and how job satisfantion predicts engagement.Major results can be concluded as follows:1. Revised job satisfaction scale has hai reliability and validity.2. Some demographic variables have effect on job satisfaction.3. There is a significant positive correlation between job satisfaction and engagement for university administration staff.Most of the hypotheses in this paper prove right, the conclusions enrich the study on job satisfaction and engagement for university administration staff and they can be references for further research.
