With the deepening of the reform of English courses,the interface between elementary and secondary English teaching has become increasingly prominent. Ganjingzi District, Dalian City is located in urban fringe, there are more rural schools and schools from factories and mines that return to the district in this area, combined with the field in recent years,most children of migrant workers come into the district, the uneven development between various regions among elementary school textbooks and teaching differences in requirements,as well as the subject of regional particularity has a direct impact on improving the quality of English teaching. To the area as an example to explore the interface between elementary and secondary school English teaching has a typical significance.And it is also beneficical to the education policy-making departments to provide the necesssary reference.Based on the integrity and continuity characteristics embodied in English language teaching in elementary and secondary teaching system, combined with the process of research findings,through using questionnaires,interviews and comparisons,this article focuses on the interface between knowledge systems including teaching objectives, teaching content, teaching evaluation, but also from the interest in learning, learning attitudes and habits,teaching methods and learning strategies,etc.on how to achieve effective "continuity",and then put forward countermeasures on improving the quality of continuity through building the system, learning objectives,content and evaluation, learning psychology and learning methods.
