From kindergarten into primary school, children face tremendous physical and mental changes as well as development. The efforts on how to connect preschool and primary school education are related to adaption to a system of formal school education life for children. Therefore, the aim of connecting preschool and primary education investigation is to improve the development of children adaptive ability and avoid the negative phenomenon caused by lack of it. Among numerous abilities, learning adaptability is one of the most important directions of the study for connection preschool and primary education. Herein, based on the references at home and abroad, this manuscript analyzes all of factors that have effect on developing learning adaptability. Then, several solution and suggestions are proposed on how to improve the task of connecting preschool and primary school education.This study made investigation mainly by means of questionnaire method including "parent's questionnaire" and "teacher questionnaire". There are one hundred and sixty two parents or teaches of grade one participating this survey from three primary schools in Xi'an city. Besides, part of them was interviewed to acquire more information. On the basis of comprehensive investigation of learning adaptive condition which belongs to the students in grade one, the relationship between their adaptability and academic achievement was studied. Simultaneously, the factors that could affect learning adaptability were emphatically analyzed. Furthermore, several conclusions were obtained as follows:1. Overall, the students in first grade possessed good learning adaptability. In particular, the overall development in home learning environment, learning attitude and school learning environment is good adaptability.2. However, parts of them showed some problems of adaption. There were various problems of learning adaptability for students. In particular, study habit, independence, willpower, initiative study, method of learning lecture and so on displayed obvious problems.3. The relationship between adaptive learning and academic performance was significant for students. This showed that the influence of learning adaptability development on study could not be ignored for student.4. The factors that influenced learning adaptability were gender, family environment and student individual factor.This study suggested that both schools and families should improve the measures and content of connection between preschool and primary education. Moreover, they also should pay attention to solve the problems arisen in learning adaptability for children. In a word, school, kind garden and family should work together to improve the learning adaptability of children. Furthermore, in order to help children change the role from kindergarten into primary school successfully, the three must take efforts to build an environment of harmony and health for children and promote them develop well in all aspects.
