Vocational education is an indispensable part of modern educational system. Paralleled with basic education, higher education and adult education, it is one of four parts on education. It meets the need for the excellent talent in our society. Now vocational education system has been improved a lot. At the same time, the demand for the talents is increasing under the impact of the process of industrialization and the view of modern talents, and vocational education has been taken seriously more and more. In the field of vocational education, the scholars are advocating innovation and reformation. The effort in reforming textbooks has also made. In this paper, we are going to compare and analyze the two different versions of textbooks which have been used in secondary vocational schools. Aim at provide useful suggestion of textbook reformation in the future, the goodness and shortness of these two textbooks will be taken into account respectively.This paper includes five basic parts as follows.Part one is the introduction. It proposes the research subject is two versions of textbooks. The research method includes document analysis and comparison. The research purpose and theoretic background are mentioned. Besides those above, the reason why we select this topic as well as theoretic and practical significance is also put forward.In part two we introduce the textbooks of national and Jiangsu versions briefly and discuss the guiding ideal and principles of those textbooks'compliance.Part three focuses on the analysis of the points of emphasis for selecting texts of the two textbook versions. It points that the national version expresses the national style and emphasize humanistic care and personal education. The Jiangsu version behaves more free relatively on selecting texts, pays more attention for the celebrities' influence, reasonable reconciliation of domestic and foreign materials as well as practicability.Part four is including the discussion of maturity and innovation for the textbooks construction. We propose our viewpoints on it.In the last part, we will talk something about the possible direction of the textbooks reformation used in secondary schools. There are several details mentioned, such as reinforcing subject construction, increasing the carrier source related to the textbooks, integrating the teaching materials, improving the temporal spirit of textbooks, cutting down some topics or articles which haven't been consistent with the times and adding the more appropriate ones, facilitating the improvement of the educated and so on.
