Textbook, as the important foundation of teaching activities, functions as the material basis of reflecting curriculum reform and teaching objectives, which plays a vital role in curriculum reform. With the development of curriculum reform in senior high schools, all kinds of versions of Chinese textbooks spring up and compete with each other, which enables the school to have more opportunities, making it possible and providing foundation for improving the quality of Chinese teaching. In the meantime, the emergence of varieties of textbooks attracts great attention from the public.Taking two versions of Chinese Textbook (Experimental Edition) for Senior High School by Jiangsu Education Press and Shandong People's Publishing House respectively, this thesis makes contrastive study from the perspective of notion, content and structure of the textbooks. With the comparison of notions, the author finds out the renovation of notion resulted from Chinese curriculum reform and the individual differences among editors as well. The edition of Chinese textbook emphasizes the overall development of students' awareness of Chinese and as a result provides conditions for personality development. Furthermore, by contrastive study on content, creativity and breakthrough can be found out in Chinese textbooks for senior high schools. Meanwhile, both the two versions of Chinese textbooks have its own characteristics in content system. With the comparison of structure between the two versions, the author makes detailed study on knowledge system, material system, exercise system and study-guided system, in which, both differences and similarities in characteristics can be drawn from the comparison between two version. Finally, on the basis of previous chapters, the author points out the creation of redaction and suggestions for further improvement, which may provide reference for grass-roots senior high schools when choosing textbooks and constructive advice for editors to do further redaction, and in the meantime, will enable the teachers to use textbooks more creatively and as a result shed light on the renovation and practice of Chinese textbooks in the future.
