Research study, which is a new curriculum form ,has been which is acknowledged and put into practice universally since 1980s when the international community faced the challenge of the knowledge-based economy. Since Shanghai began to carry out Experimental curriculum reform experiments and explore research study theories in 1998, research study has attracted more and more attentions from chinese educational scholars and teachers and remarkable advances have been made in the course of theroy research and exploration. However,because the curriculum form, curriculum implementation and curriculum evaluation of research study are still in the exploration stage, at actually setting up in the process, research learning exists unavoidably problems of some kinds. Teachers quality hold back effective development of research study seriously.Local normal colleges in our country main task is to train qualified teachers for elementar education. So it is very necessary and feasible for Local Normal Colleges to carry out the teaching reform of research study. Psychology is a public required subject in higher normal colleges. To advocate the idea of research study help future teachers establish advanced education ideas, accumulate elemental experiences,improve the selfstudy ability,and develop positive mental attitudes.By applying literature method, the paper analyses the Historical Development and Current Situation of research study, its theroy base and possibility and necessity of exploration of research study in local normal colleges. On that base, the paper carries on the teaching design of in psychology in local normal colleges. Then the paper puts forward the guarantee conditions for carrying out research study efficiently in local normal colleges.The paper contains five parts. The first part is introduction. The introduction firstly defines the concept of research study and introduces the current situation of study of research study from home and abroad and it also analyses the definition of research study concretely ,and then it concluds the definition of research study in higher normal college, which enriches the connotation of research study. The second part analyses theoretical basis for normal colleges carrying out research study. From the aspect of lifelong education theory, subject education theory, multi-faceted education, and constructivism learning theory, this part indicates theoretical basis for research study. The third part mainly talks about the necessity and possibility of exploration of research study in normal colleges. This part analyses the necessity of exploration of research study in normal colleges in three aspects: the school feathers of local normal college, the requirement of the development of the students themselves, and the requirement of teacher education reform. Meanwhile, it also analyses the possibility of exploration of research study in normal colleges in four aspects: teacher resource in normal college, curriculum resource, students'hopes and conditions, and characteristics of psychology. The fourth part is about teaching design of research study in psychology. The part talks about the goal, the principle and the process of research study in pedagogics courses and it conclude the result of implementation: research study can enhance interest of learning, improve the ability of communication, encourage progress, cultivate students'information accomplishment and promote student to grasp and use scientific research methods. The fifth part explore the gurarantee conditions of carrying out Research study efficiently in local normal colleges.
