Research On The Harmonious And Sustainable Development Of Higher Education With Economy In Shananxi Province

The basic mission of a college is to enhance the social sustained development and advancement,which was put forward at the first International Higher Education Conference. During the knowledge age,the material capital has being replaced by knowledge and became the one important production element in economy gradually. While higher education has more and more affinities with the development of social economy,its importance has transformed from the social edge to the center becoming the generator of the social and economic development. The research on the well-coordinated development between higher education and region has been one of the key research projects all over the world. Shaanxi is typical province of"a big one for higher education,a small one for economics".The situation has resulted a lot of Problems."The paper tries to discuss the low contribution of higher education to economic growth and the inconsistent relationship between higher education and economic growth in shaanxi province, based on the theory and method of human capital and educational economics. The paper reviews the history of the development of shaanxi's higher education and economic state estimates the ratio of contribution of higher education to shaanxi's economic growth, and puts forward some advice.The paper mainly consists of fore Parts:The first part is about theoretical explanations. The advice includes: the reform of financing mode,broadening the avenue of finance, making overall plans and take all factors into consideration to make a harmonious development between higher education and region and innovating higher education system and mechanism to perfect its performance,etc.The contributions of the paper are two points.
