Since the reform and opening up in China the Urban-rural migration have been expanding, according to the data, out of migrant workers in China achieves 120,000,000. The rural-urban migration has a huge impact on marital relationship. This research, based on the Shanghai Xuhui district 20 case studies found that migration patterns of married migrant workers are divided into two:family migration patterns and two separated patterns, the migration patterns of these two types have different effects on marriage. Research by comparison analysis found that family migration patterns are more conducive to the maintenance and stability of marriage than the two separated patterns. In the separate style patterns of migration, the Migrant workers living in different places have little time to reunite. In most cases they communicated only by the form of text messages or telephone. Long-separated lives are harmful to the maintenance and stable of marriage. Also because of the migrant workers are flowing, so it is difficult to make the social macro-management. At the same time, this research also found that economic conditions, communication frequency, children condition and other factors had a certain impact on the quality of the marital relationship. Therefore, this research suggests that the family migration pattern is more conducive to the stability of marriage. And based on this I proposed some policies and suggestions that are benefit to the marriage ties harmonious stable, hope that through family stability prompted migrant workers get used to town life, faster into stable industry workers.
