Research On The Index System Of Performance Evaluation For University Teachers

The object of this study is the universities teachers'performance evaluation index system, which discusses the process of reforming in China's universities teachers'performance evaluation. Based on the studies of performance evaluation in domestic institutions and foreign non-profit organizations, I summarized the research in respect of performance evaluation in public institutions and universities, Combined with China's universities management practice, this study deeply analyzed the status of undergraduate teachers' management and performance evaluation, I summarized the assessment process and evaluation indexes, and learned performance evaluation index system and method which the foreign enterprises and non-profit organizations usually used, explored a performance evaluation system which suitable to undergraduate teacher in China. The contemporary performance evaluation theory and method are applied to the high education, and created the evaluation system for university. Through the methods of questionnaires and interviews, we got lots of effective data and experiences from basic teachers and experts, and finally explored a performance evaluation index system which designed suitable to China's college.The purpose of the research is to design a new performance evaluation index system which would be more effective and more targeted, and improve the overall level of performance management in universities, through analyzing the main problems existing at present in undergraduate teachers'performance evaluation index system, and absorbing the inter-external institutions'advanced methods in performance evaluation index system. Especially I use a new method of double dimension of evaluation in operation process, the end provide the suggestions and the solutions for performance evaluation in university at last.
