Homework plays an important part in class teaching implement and students' study, considered as an approach for students to strengthen, apply and improve what they have learnt, extending the class teaching, and thus becoming a pattern of student-teacher interaction. As an approach to reflect students' attitude to study as well as their achievements, homework supplies reliable evidence for teachers' effective teaching and students' better study.Nowadays, homework assigned to students takes little consideration of the distinctive differences among them, neglecting the complexity of questions and their rationality, greatly confining students' space for activities, restricting their horizon of knowledge, conditioning the development of their thinking, and even affecting the promoting of students' integral quality.Limiting the evaluation of homework to be simple signs as"√""×"simplifies the method, with finishing teaching task, urging students to finish their homework and figuring down how they've learnt becoming the one and only goal to achieve, which ignores the educational encouragement that homework evaluation can bring to students' development. This paper will advance a reasonable design of homework in terms of current defects in the design and evaluation of homework in order to classify questions and students, diversify the patterns of homework, arousing students' initiative in study, turning them from "forced type" to "active type".In terms of homework evaluation, we should adopt more diverse and plural evaluating types, turning "un-directional feedback" into "multi-directional communication", and replacing marked evaluation by graded evaluation. During the evaluating process, we should focus on the evaluation of students' train of thought, expression, process and achievements, emphasizing freeness in seeking for more than one approach in particular. This thesis mainly embodies innovative points in two aspects: First, in explaining the designing principles of homework, full and accurate examples are listed, thus it provides a good example for designing homework in daily teaching; Second, in the evaluation aspects,this paper proposed the easy way to operate the evaluation, thus extends the function of evaluation.
