Job embeddedness can help the organizations retain their employees, improve the compatibility between employees and the organization. So-called"job embeddedness"means the relationship between employees and work-related situation within and outside the organization, formed the degree of Closeness of the network. The investigation of Job embeddedness is a powerful complementarity to former field in theory. It can also affect employees'working attitude and behavior through elevate employee's job satisfaction and create more profit and fortune for the corporation in practice.Through some standard research methods such as literature review and survey investigation with more than 555 workers in 14 different kinds of Chinese companies which were from 6 cities in China. Such statistics as exploratory factor analysis, confirmatory factor analysis, and regression analysis were applied for the data analysis. The conclusions were drawn as following:First, for Chinese employees, job embeddedness is comprised of six dimensions, namely fit to organization, fit to community, organization related sacrifice, link to organize work, link to organize personnel and link to community. The results indicate that this six factor model is the best one. The reliability and validity of employee job embeddedness questionnaire reaches psychometric requirements, so it is an effective measurement.Second, discussion about the demographical variables, effects on the contents of job embeddedness. The demographical variables included sex, age, education level, job position and the ownership of enterprises. It was found that the demographical variables had some significant effects on the contents of job embeddedness.Third, this study found different dimension of job embeddedness have effect on these consequences differently. Fit to organization have significant positive predictive effect on identification with the company, altruism towards colleagues, conscientiousness and interpersonal harmony; fit to community have significant positive predictive effect on identification with the company, altruism towards colleagues and conscientiousness; organization related sacrifice have significant positive predictive effect on identification with the company, negative predictive effect on interpersonal harmony; link to organize work have negative predictive effect on interpersonal harmony and protecting company resources; link to organize personnel have significant positive predictive effect on identification with the company ,altruism towards colleagues , conscientiousness and interpersonal harmony; link to community have significant negative predictive effect on altruism towards colleagues, conscientiousness, interpersonal harmony and protecting company resources .Fourth, job satisfaction is partial mediate variable in the relationship between job embeddedness and organizational citizenship behavior, fit to organization and organizational citizenship behavior, fit to community and organizational citizenship behavior; job satisfaction is complete mediate variable in the relationship between organization related sacrifice and organizational citizenship behavior, link to organize work and organizational citizenship behavior; but job satisfaction is not mediate variable in the relationship between link to organize personnel and organizational citizenship behavior, link to community and organizational citizenship behavior.
