Creative thinking is the most important ability in the contemporary era because it relates to the nation's future. How to cultivate creative thinking became a significant problem in the educational world and every country has been studying this problem through various means. With the development of society and science, especially the information technologies provide broader perspective to the progress of education. With all that comes with it, the network games have emerged and have deep affections on people's life. Researchers found that the network itself also has certain education potentials through study, so more and more researchers of educational technology started to pay attention to the educational values of the online games and tried to apply its favorable factors to education. As a kind of new means of education, educational games take the advantage of entertainment factors to digital information suit and provide students with a learning environment and condition of'learning by doing'and'learning by playing'. To realize the happy state of learning in the teaching process, and provide students with ideal atmosphere of'teaching through lively activities'. Not only the realization of constructing knowledge in the real situation, the educational games can also develop the creative thinking. Many studies suggest that the development of creative thinking is built on problem solving, and educational games are exactly able to provide creative thinking with soil.The article researches educational games from the perspective of creative thinking and make the cultivation of important factors affecting the creative thinking of learners in the educational games as the research fields. The main purpose is to utilize educational games to promote the development of creative thinking. To look for new ways, new methods and new strategies of the development of creative thinking through educational games under the support of information technology and various basic theories. This thesis theoretically establishes the proposition of"the applied research of cultivating the creative thinking of middle school students through educational games"by the relevant study of creative thinking and educational games. The thesis proposes the applying strategies and the process model of educational games which is beneficial to the development of creative thinking based on the research of the related theories of creative thinking and educational games. It analyses these problems via some cases and summarizes the applying strategies to promote the development of creative thinking through educational games.The purpose of this article is to draw lessons of the research experiences of educational games and creative thinking from home and abroad. The means of action research and questionnaires are also used to validate the facilitation of educational games. Then the paper accordingly puts forward the using strategy.The paper researches the related experiences of educational games and creativity at home and abroad, it analyzes the cultured ways and possibilities of educational games to creative thinking based on the Constructivist learning theory, Situated cognitive theory, Game theory study and the Flow theory. It proposes some models through the analysis of creative thinking factors influenced by educational games, and it explores the influence of educational games toward creative thinking. The action research and the questionnaire method are also used to validate the acceleration on creative thinking of educational games. Compared the pretest with the posttest, the experimental effects are explained by the data analysis, and the applied strategies are put forward further by the aforementioned researches. Apply the educational games in the process of teaching, the educational games and the students are interactive. The analysis results of data materials reveal that the rational apply of strategies plays a promoting role in the development of creative thinking in the process of educational games. The using of educational games in middle school teaching has certain popularize value for it can fully mobilize the students' enthusiasm in the one hand and in the other hand it is a good way to facilitate the development of creative thinking.
