The Impaction Of Parental Rearing Patterns On Coping Style Among College Students: The Mediation Effects Of Life Position

Marital satisfaction is one of the index to the measure of marital.The marital quality not only affect the healthy of the couples,aslo affect their children's directly.Coping styles plays an enormous roles in effecting marital satisfaction.The level of self-differentiation could predict marital satisfaction,which have been proved by psychologists at abroad.But we couldn't find any research in the domestic.At present most of the reasearch of self-differentiation are based on a sample of college students.Can self-differentiation will be applicable in the background of Chinese culture?And can it will predict marital satisfaction? Are there any relations in self-differentiation,coping styles and martital satisfaction? These problems need to be further researched urgently.Therefore,we did this reasearch.It used three questionnaires(DSI-R,SCSQ,ENRICH) to explore the relations of sef-differentiation,coping styles and marital satisfaction. Based on the analysis of 706 investigated adults, the conclusions are as follows:1.The revised scale of self differentiation is made up of 23 items,which measure four dimensions,that is ,Emotional Reactivity,I-Position,Emotional Cutoff and Fbsion with Others.The indicators of reliability and validity of this scale aure in line with the requirements of psychometrics.2.Generaly speaking,the self-differentiation level of adults is fairly high.Tt is showed significant difference though comparing degree.And there is no significant difference in other scales.3.Comparing the differences of copying styles and marital satisfaction between the adults with different self-differentiation,It is showed that the scores in copying stytles and marital satisfaction in the group with high self-differentiation are significantly higher than those of low self-differentiation.4.The level of self-differentiation and copying styles both have good predictive effects on marital satisfaction,and self-differentiation plays mediation effects between copying styles and marital satisfaction.
