| An education support student with mental retardation mainly refers to satisfy the educational needs of students with mental retardation. It contained the states, communities, schools and families which adapt various means and measures to provide material support, knowledge, information support and emotional support. A good education support for children accepts basic education, establishing the faith of their life .It is an education support project for children's ability to development. Mentally retarded children education support system embodies the idea of inclusive education, the concept of "people first" concept, building a harmonious society, and practice the scientific concept of development of the specific embodiment. However, the research on education support for students with mental retardation is very limited. This paper study on educational support of mentally retarded students, Investigated the status of educational support for the students with mental retardation. It compared the educational support for the students with mental retardation and general education students, provided a theoretical reference for the development of education in the future.The study investigated 99 students of school for mentally retarded children and 90 pupils of normal school by questionnaire and interview. Compared the level of education support between the mental retarded students and normal students, the study makes compare means on educational supports'dimensions from general and internal and grade variable separately, analyses and inspects the characteristics of educational supports for mentally retarded children to inquire some conclusions, then puts forward suggestions for educational supports of mentally retarded children. Schools for the mentally retarded students in the material support, information support and education to support knowledge score was significantly lower than the ordinary school students, emotional support for mentally retarded students was significantly higher than students in ordinary schools; Mentally retarded student's countries, communities , schools and educational support total score were significantly lower than students in ordinary schools, in which students with mental retardation at the national, community and school scores on the emotional support dimension was significantly higher than students in ordinary schools; The dimensions of knowledge and information to support scores were significantly higher than ordinary schools students in school and family. The educational supports for students with mental retardation are mainly from family and school. Theirs knowledge and information support was more abundant; There are significant differences for the mentally retarded students in grade. On the basis of previous research, this paper suggesses: Strengthen the concept of Mentally Retarded Children Education Support;Improve the educational support system for students with mental retardation ;the task of school is to connect families, community and national education support; Conduct grade education with omni-directional. |
